Silver Heart Ring
Our Silver Heart ring – this is the perfect pinky ring. Our rustic, shiny heart may be small but packs a punch in the style stakes. Carved from wax then sandcast each one will be slightly different and unique. Looks great worn alone or stacked alongside our other rings. Look out for our forthcoming simple stackers – a collection of stacking rings perfect to wear alone or pile high.
A pinky ring is a ring worn on the little finger. During the 19th century, men and women both wore pinky rings on their left hands to indicate they were not interested in marriage. Traditionally, pinky rings are worn on the non dominant hand.
This was carved from wax by Cheryl and I took the wax carving, made a delft clay impression and cast it.
One of the problems of casting (pouring molten silver into a mould) a ring rather than forming it (bending it) is the inside of the ring. Whereas the outer definition of the ring is captured perfectly, the inside relies on a pillar of delft clay staying stable amidst the motion of the silver. It usually doesn’t, which means you will see imperfections on the inside of the ring. But no-one else will ever see them, and our finishing process means you will never feel them.
Looking After You
All new jewellery designs are tested to ensure you will be happy with them. Usually this is Cheryl’s task, although Robert tests the cufflinks. Firstly, all new designs are assessed for comfort. Also for durability, appropriate chain and chain length. Additionally we take note of comments made on the jewellery we are wearing. And we learn from and act upon all feedback. We won’t ship any jewellery we are not 100% happy with. Ultimately, you are protected with our easy returns policy.
